18 months – 3 years
In the Funky Flamingo class, activities such as threading beads and cutting with scissors are practiced to help children develop fine motor skills. On a weekly basis we do letterland and tracing. Students are engaged by the story logic, which results in long-term retention of concepts. Letterland is also extremely sensory-rich. Music, actions, alliteration, movement, song, art, games, and role-playing are used to engage all learning channels. Each letter's sound and letter formation is taught to the children. This helps them learn to read and spell in the future.
Tracing is an important first step for your child in learning to write letters. Tracing provides excellent practice for your child's fingers, hands, and wrists, as well as fine motor practice that strengthens the muscles in their fingers. This will eventually prepare them to write, draw, and colour.
Children are challenged to improve their hand-eye coordination and balance through a variety of activities. Matching, sorting, counting, and games help children understand numbers, categories, and sequence, which aids in later math learning. Putting puzzles together encourages children to notice patterns, plan, and solve problems. The children participate in fantasy play or music once a week. Engaging in fantasy play can boost creativity and vocabulary. It aids in the development of self-regulation skills.
Perception is very important in this classroom as it is used by infants and toddlers during interactions, exploration, and making sense of their experiences. Children learn to discern information from their surroundings that is important to them as they grow. Children learn numeracy, literacy, and emotional skills by listening to and creating music. Incorporating music into routines and play in the early years benefits a child's development.

3 – 4 years
In the Bumble Bee class, our children start to take their first steps towards big school. The Bumble Bee students not only learn through normal teaching, but also through playing, singing, dancing, exercising and art.
The students are taught phonics through stories and songs from letterland and they know all the characters and the sounds they make. These sounds are the fundamental building blocks of reading and they definitely get a head start in this class.
They also learn about numbers - not only can they recognise them but they can also count forwards and backwards. All students should have a solid mathematical foundation before leaving the Bumble Bee class.
Every Monday the children are introduced to a new weekly theme. These themes are aimed to teach them about life and how the world works.
When the students finish learning inside, they get to play outside. The teachers put together new activities for them every day. It is essential for the children to start developing some social skills, enjoy the fresh air and to get some exercise.

4 – 5 years
In this class, children are taught to think critically, as well as enhance their creativity and imagination. A child's gross motor skills and fine motor skills are still developing and therefore, playtime becomes more imaginative and is an important part of their development.
Letterland is used in the Ladybug class because the story logic engages students, resulting in long-term retention of concepts. Letterland is also multi-sensory. It engages all learning channels by using music, actions, alliteration, movement, song, art, games, and role-playing. The focus is on the phonicular sound of letters as it is the foundation of reading and writing.
Mathematical concepts are introduced, first with concrete examples and then on paper. The class concentrates on big and small, few and many, addition and subtraction, and number recognition.
Perception is critical because children rely on it to develop a better awareness of their bodies in space and to move more effectively to perform tasks. It grows from information gathered through the senses which allows children to make sense of their surroundings.

5 – 6 years
In this class, education is about shaping and moulding the holistic child. Learners are introduced to language through planned interactive activities and play-based learning, which will eventually form the foundation of their lifelong journey.
Children are taught fundamental skills like numbers and letter formation, which serve as the foundation for their future education. Puzzles have a direct impact on your child's ability to read, write, and do math, among other things.
They learn about alphabetical and phonetic knowledge, as well as reading, writing, spelling, counting, adding, and subtracting. Young children are becoming increasingly interested in pre-math and pre-literacy skills. On a weekly basis, letterland is practiced in class. Letterland was created to teach phonics through a narrative approach. The story logic engages students, resulting in long-term concept retention. Letterland is also multi-sensory. It engages all learning channels by using music, actions, alliteration, movement, song, art, games, and role-playing.
We provide a wide range of games and activities to help children acquire pre-math and literacy skills to prepare them for the academic demands of primary school.
